The Premier Daniel Andrews is taking the day off today. This is his first break in 120 days. If he’s not spending the day catching up on sleep, I’m betting he will be playing golf. I played yesterday and Neil went to do a factory inspection. Molly was home alone all morning yesterday for the first time in many months. She’s had so much of our attention while in lockdown, she looked slightly confused when we both left the house.
We went to Bunnings last night to get a bunch of things we’ve wanted for a while, including a new compost bin. We thought it was better to go last night than face the crowds today. I planted some tomatoes and lettuce.
The new Health Minister, Martin Foley, stepped up for the daily press briefing today, filling in for the Premier. There was just one new case in Victoria. Many of the new cases over recent days are low positives, which may turn out to be negative.
