Peru is the 16th country to record one million cases of coronavirus and Paraguay is the 74th country to record 100,000 cases. By keeping numbers down here and having policies that ring fence and isolate those who are infected, we can hopefully continue to keep it under control. Here in Melbourne we know how hard it is to eliminate this virus once it has a foothold.
In Sydney the latest case numbers are eight new infections. There are a range of locations being added to the exposure list, but so far the small number of new infections being reported is encouraging.
