It’s very cold and wet this weekend. This might be the last really cold blast of winter but in Melbourne you never can tell what the weather is going to do. Our tabletennis table was delivered late yesterday. Neil assembled it today and we warmed up playing for a while.
Last night we watched the Dreamtime match. Richmond and Essendon played in Darwin. I was pleased that Richmond won, but it wasn’t a convincing win. It’s very hot and humid there and the players were going into cool rooms at breaks. Such a contrast to Melbourne’s weather.
Queensland has announced a batch of new cases linked to a youth detention centre in Brisbane. The facility has been infected by a woman who worked there over several shifts while infectious. The Queensland authorities are concerned this cluster will spread as there are a number people infected who have been to a range of other locations, including hospitals and other community facilities.
Today Daniel Andrews announced another 208 cases and 17 fatalities in Victoria.
