The Corona Crucible – Fri 9th October

World 36.7 million    Brazil 5 million         Russia 1.2 million

Neil woke up with a sniffle and a sore throat yesterday and went for a COVID test. He got his results back last night and I’m pleased to say he’s tested negative, so all is okay. Fortunately, he hasn’t come down with a cold either, so it may have been just a reaction to the colder weather we have had this week.

The AFL finals kicked off last weekend. With hardly any virus in most states of Australia except here in Victoria, there were people in the stands cheering. A sign of better times to come, I hope so. Richmond lost to Brisbane last week, and play St Kilda tonight. I’ll be cheering. Go Tigers!

We’ve had another 11 cases overnight. It seems like we are in a holding pattern with similar case numbers being recorded for weeks on end. Groundhog days continue. Our 14 day average is now 9.4 and the mystery case number is now 12, with two people dropping off that 14 day tally. We’re slowly getting there.
