It’s taken just five days for the number of COVID infections in the US to rise by one million. There have now been almost 300,000 deaths from COVID in the Divided States, with over 3,000 yesterday, which is more than the number killed in the 9/11 attacks.
Meanwhile, warnings have been issued about allergic reactions to the Pfizer vaccine. After a number of people had severe reaction to the vaccine in the UK, health authorities have warned that anyone with a history of allergic reactions of any kind should not get the vaccine. The University of Queensland vaccine trials have been abandoned after false positive HIV results were reported. Let’s hope some of the other vaccines under development are more reliable.
Denmark is the 70th country to reach 100,000 recorded infections.
