Germany reached one million cases of COVID yesterday, the 12th country to reach that number of COVID infections. Azerbaijan and Greece make it 66 countries with over 100,000 cases. Australia has under 28,000 total cases and is now 95th.
The South Australian Parafield outbreak increased to 31 on Thursday, an increase of two. Around 5,000 people are now in quarantine in Adelaide to limit the spread of the virus. No new cases were recorded yesterday in Adelaide. The border is set to open on Tuesday.
Neil’s pending trip to Adelaide is looking a little more certain, but we’ll have to wait and see how the situation develops over coming days. Alerts have now been issued for a couple of shopping centres in Adelaide, but I think he will be okay to travel.
