The Corona Crucible – Sun 22nd November

World 58.4 million    Brazil 6 million         UK 1.5 million

We went out for dinner last night for the first time in many months. It was a belated birthday celebration for Neil’s daughter. I decided not to play golf today as I was feeling a bit tired this morning, plus there’s showers about and a possible storm later today.

Victorian Premier, Daniel Andrews announced that masks will no longer be required when outside which is a blessing for playing golf in summer. Masks will still be required indoors.

A range of other restrictions are being lifted, with our 23rd consecutive day of no new virus cases in this state. Really, we have done so incredibly well. We are in such good shape after all the trials we have been through this year. Nevertheless, viral fragments were found yesterday in a waste water treatment plant in our neighbourhood, so there is still virus lurking out there.

South Australia added just one new case, not related to the current cluster, but a returned traveller in quarantine.
