The weather is warming up, but it’s humid and drizzly. We’re expecting a good dump of rain at the weekend with wind and a cool change. The weather bureau has issued an official La Nina forecast. I remember the last one in 2011-13. There were floods in many parts of Australia, including Brisbane. We were doing some earthworks here in the backyard at the time that ended up a boggy mess.

On top of everything else, the fires, the pandemic, the economic situation, it would totally write off 2020 if we now ended up with floods. This La Nina is meant to be weaker than the one ten years ago, so we can be hopeful that’s some good news.

The virus case numbers in Victoria continue to offer hope with 14 cases and four deaths recorded in the past 24 hours. The 14-day average is now 16.4. Our two week mystery case number is now 21, which is a significant drop from yesterday.
