The Corona Crucible – Tue 16th June

World 8.1 million      India 340K+   Pakistan 140K+

This was meant to be my last day on antibiotics, but I am not clear of this sinus infection yet, so after another Telehealth appointment I picked up a second batch of tablets from the chemist, plus more products to help clear the congestion from my head. I am improving, but it’s slow going. I’ve not been back to golf yet as I’m still coughing and not feeling up to it.

Molly went back to the vet again yesterday too. The poor girl jumped unexpectedly on Sunday and has had a setback. The vet did x-rays and blood tests and kept her there for a few hours. They didn’t find any issues, so that confirms it’s some kind of soft tissue damage, not a broken bone, but at this stage we can’t rule out a disc issue in her spine. We have her back at home now on cage rest to make sure she doesn’t move about too much. If she doesn’t improve the next step is a CT scan, but I’m hopeful that she will recover with rest. She’s in less pain this morning and putting weight on her back leg again.

There were 12 new cases of coronavirus diagnosed in Victoria yesterday including a second person who attended Melbourne’s Black Lives Matter demonstration on 6 June. One day after New Zealand declared themselves free of COVID-19, two new cases were recorded.
