Analysts are asking whether this pandemic will bring an end to capitalism as community needs replace profits as the most pressing agenda item. The government keeps saying that the measures they are introducing are temporary, but will this be the case? What if this crisis lasts more than six months? Smaller community solutions will start to supersede global trade arrangements. People are already getting creative. This global health crisis is likely to seed the growth of co-operative ventures where each member contributes and shares equally. Greed and poverty could eventually be eliminated.

Prime Minister Scott Morrison said yesterday that the economic stimulus measures the government is introducing are temporary. He said emphatically that after six months, no more money will be available. The Reserve Bank can’t continue to reduce interest rates either, since they are already at 0.25%

At the same time, experts said that this virus is ‘here to stay’. This begs the question, what happens after six months if there is no vaccine available and we are still confined to our homes? https://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-04-08/coronavirus-covid-19-economy-human-life-cost-business-morrison/12130190

It’s true that necessity is the mother of invention. Many people who have lost their jobs are seeking and finding work in other areas where there is a need for more staff. We are all learning new skills because we have to.

As Neil correctly forecast on 24 March, the Caltex oil refinery in Brisbane is about to shut down. We can expect more refineries to close as this pandemic continues. A number of Caltex service stations are also closing, With the world no longer travelling anywhere, with fuel no longer needed, what a great time to develop hydrogen vehicles and create a whole new industry. This is a great opportunity to permanently cut emissions and save the Earth. It was also reported today, from a reputable source, that in India air pollution has dropped dramatically and that the Himalayas can be seen from 200 kilometres away for the first time in 30 years.

The world is being totally transformed by this pandemic.

Back in 2006, two years before the GFC I wrote an article about the transit of Pluto in Capricorn (2008-23). It was subtitled; the end of the world as we know it?

We are now coming to the end of this transit. A number of astrologers, myself included, recently contributed to an E-book Astro-Vision 2020, which includes my analysis of Pluto in Aquarius, the next cycle of social change that will soon commence.
