Libra New Moon

 

Saturn and Mercury are facilitating diplomacy and precise, effective communication. In professional, political, legal and business negotiations, this favours workable compromises. Sustained effort and respect for differences of opinion will be rewarded. The focus is on attending to details as well as overall presentation.

 

The ruling planet of Libra is of course Venus, and Venus and Mars are making a powerful conjunction in Scorpio just days before this New Moon. This is a passionate union which is highly sexual and emotive. This suggests some underlying tension in relationships, which needs to be discussed and brought out into the open. This may be difficult at first since these issues may be unconscious and hard to grasp.

 

Venus may also call into question the basis upon which our relationships are founded. Venus stations retrograde exactly at this New Moon. This is a time to reflect upon the value placed on relationships, and the esteem felt from others.  What do we like and appreciate? What attracts us, what repels us? Are we being appreciated? Venus retrograde is a time to withdraw, reflect and evaluate.

 

This Venus station in Scorpio may bring some relationships and associations to an end. It might be time to move on and begin to forge new alliances. Dealing with underlying tension and unconscious behaviours will aid in resolving difficulties. Some alliances will be tested. Those that are truly worthwhile will be stronger and endure, moving to a new and deeper level of commitment.

 

 

Aries Full Moon

This is the second Aries full moon in a row. Last month’s preparations and efforts now bear fruit. Feedback, both positive and negative may prove crucial and need to be assimilated, though useful suggestions will have to be sifted and sorted from the rest.

 

What aspects of others' opinions are worthy of our consideration? Adjustments may be needed to our current approach in order to move forward with our plans.

 

If giving feedback or advice, Venus and Mars in Scorpio may be rather undiplomatic.  Communications and suggestions could be misinterpreted as negative criticism with Venus retrograde conjunct Vesta in Scorpio, which suggests the potential for further withdrawal from contact. It does however also show the ability to focus on essentials.

 

This full moon starts a new cycle; full moons will now occur in the opposite sign from the previous new moon, rather than the new moon opposing the previous the full. We are turning a corner. We can now regroup and refocus, become more closely aligned with our core values, and emerge with a new dedicated and purposeful approach.
