Taurus Full Moon
11 November
It’s 11/11/11 and to mark the occasion we have a Full Moon! At this Taurus Full Moon, the ruler of Taurus, Venus, is close to Mercury. This pair can be seen together in the evening sky near the western horizon after sunset. Both are in freedom loving Sagittarius, providing a boost to confidence and enthusiasm. Neptune and Chiron are stationary and about to turn direct. When a planet stations, its energy is intensified. Neptune and Chiron have been stellar travelling companions for about a year during a time of growing awareness about how all life is connected. This pair cannot be seen with the naked eye however their cosmic message is one of healing and empathy. The Neptune-Chiron conjunction is about recognising our separateness and individuality as well as the fact we are part of a collective whole. As they station we are asked to focus on what we need to do to heal, personally on a soul level and how we can contribute to healing on a global scale.
Mars is opposing this spiritual healing partnership, about to transition into Virgo, the sign of health. Mars in Virgo has different ideas about healing, tending to emphasise the physical rather than the spiritual or emotional. Whatever the case, this line up urges us to take action on outstanding health issues. Long standing problems, be they physical or emotional can be worked through now. Insight and clarity about mind-body connections becomes clearer. With the Sun in Scorpio this is a good time to purge and detox and have a spring clean around the home or office which will help create a fresh atmosphere conducive to new growth.
Sagittarius New Moon – Partial Solar eclipse
25 November
This partial eclipse will be visible from Tasmania and New Zealand, but we just miss out seeing it in Melbourne. This eclipse is part of a family of eclipses which began way back in the year 1074. This Saros cycle commenced in the sign of Taurus, signalling that this eclipse family is all about core values, money, resources, and standards.
At this eclipse Mercury is stationing and turning retrograde so we should be careful that we communicate our truth with clarity. With Mercury stationary it is very easy to misinterpret, miscommunicate, or misunderstand. We may be speaking a different language.
Now in Sagittarius, this eclipse is likely to highlight the differences that exist between personal individual values (Taurus) and the cultural traditions and beliefs that exist in other regions of the world and within ethnic groups (Sagittarius). With Jupiter, ruling planet of Sagittarius located in earthy Taurus and in a tricky 150 degree quincunx aspect to the Sun and Moon, we should make an effort to appreciate the small differences as well as see the big picture. Others standards and traditions may be difficult to understand. Our truth may be very different to that of others.
