Sagittarius Full Moon
8/6/2009
This Full Moon contains a challenge or two in the form of a mutable Grand Cross. The Sun and Moon square Uranus/Juno and Saturn, which continue to oppose. There are also a number of 135 degree aspects in the heavens, the focal points of which are the North Node, poised to shift into Capricorn, the Venus Mars conjunction in Taurus, and Saturn itself, which divide this chart into a number of 45 degree sized cake slices, some of which may be hard to digest.
The Moon’s rulers, Jupiter and Neptune remain in tight alignment with Chiron, potentially reopening old wounds, especially since the Sun’s ruler, Mercury, squares this cluster.
Misunderstandings and disagreements may surface, or we may over react perhaps responding to past pain, rather than to current circumstances.
But this is also an opportunity to clear the air, making way for the establishment of new arrangements, to align common purposes and goals in the coming weeks. Healing is still the focus, so keeping an open heart and mind will help. Past and future are converging in the present.

15/6/2009
Jupiter joins Neptune and Chiron in retrograde motion as we attempt to unite our hopes and dreams. Jupiter normally races through the heavens, so when the brakes are applied, we turn inwards and retreat to some extent from the world, searching within for meaning.
This union of Chiron, Jupiter and Neptune continues to make its presence felt in creating a healing and magical atmosphere, but its negative side may also be experienced. There is something bitter-sweet about this planetary combo, which gives us pause to reflect on the past while we contemplate the future.
Jupiter is stationary when trining the Sun. We tend to think of the Jupiter-Sun trine as a easy aspect, one which easily brings opportunity, good fortune, confidence and positive energy, yet Jupiter is stationary. This seems to suggest that process of growth and expansion may pause momentarily at Jupiter's Solar trine, and that rather than rushing forward to meet our destiny, we would be better advised to reflect and consider before taking action. It might be better to wait and see what will transpire while we weigh up options.
Winter Solstice
21 June

It seems significant that Venus and Mars should come together in the sky at this solstice. Venus is 45 degrees oriental to this solstice Sun and close to her greatest elongation.
At this conjunction, Mars and Venus, though together will now begin to separate, as Venus stays within her 48 degree solar orb, while Mars will venture out beyond on his hero's quest and make all possible aspects to the Sun, and to Venus.
Venus is the morning star, and in her own sign, Taurus. She is enjoying life as she unites with Mars she is infused with love and passion. Mars is not traditionally considered to be comfortable, or empowered in this sign, so love and relationship are favoured over independent action.
Ingress charts tell us something about the seasons and this season the theme is clearly about love connections and relationships.
Mars is now leaving Venus’ zone, and though not feeling especially potent in Taurus, he must independently seek worldly success in order to feel empowered once more. He has to leave Venus alone in order to do so, but for now he is here by her side.
Venus meanwhile is awake to the potential of relationship. She is conscious and knows what she wants. She wants a relationship, but not just any old connection, she wants it all; love, passion, sex and intimacy, a true connection of depth and beauty.
Regardless of our gender, or sexual orientation, or even if we have a debilitated natal Venus, this conjunction and soltice suggests we are now more likely to be empowered by the love goddess. Acting alone and independently is less of a priority now. We are seeking to forge special connections, commitments and partnerships.
At 15 Taurus, Venus and Mars are now situated at the midpoint between the last ingress at 0 Aries and this one at 0 Cancer, suggesting a link between spring and summer, or autumn and winter, so perhaps relationships that are warming up are likely to continue to develop, while those that are cooling down, may continue to cool off as this quarterly ingress unfolds.
The Sun joins Vesta, keeping us close to home and hearth, focusing our attention on sacred space, ritual and ambience. Outside disturbances may intrude upon this domestic bliss as Pluto opposes and their rulers, Moon and Saturn are also in square.
Cancer New Moon
23/6/2009
Vesta, goddess of the hearth and home, remains close, reinforcing the theme of domestic harmony, home and family.
The Sabian symbol for this New Moon is; A man on a magic carpet hovering above a large area of land. We are seeing our relationship to home, family, though a wider lens. Where do I belong? Where is home? This New Moon ushers in a cycle of decision making around the establishment of new domestic arrangements.
Selling and buying property, moving house, living together, children moving in or out, making plans for a future together, deciding where to live are the focus now. Under this celestial arrangement we can unite with others and find a feeling of belonging. There will be challenges ahead but the emphasis is on striving to overcome any difficulties which may stand in the way of finding a secure place where we feel we truly belong.
