REVIEW: SECRETS OF THE ZODIAC

Since its earliest recorded beginnings in the third millennium BC, astrology has played a part in the advancement of mathematical, medical and psychological knowledge. Finey has nurtured and developed her interest in astrology over the past 30 years and Secrets of the Zodiac is her comprehensive guide to each sign’s talents, potential, personality and life challenges. It will appeal to a broad audience with little or no prior knowledge of astrology.

Fascinating yet easy to read, the book engages the reader by connecting with them in a very personal way, identifying aspects of their personality, positive qualities, and intrinsic opportunities for growth. Rather than using astrology to make predictions about the future, the author illuminates each zodiac sign’s potential and avenues for personal and spiritual advancement.

Finey also notes that astrology can be utilised to understand human behaviour, thus adding to one’s personal development and acceptance of and interaction with others. An endearing feature is the historical figures, animated archetypes and myths utilised to further communicate to the reader the quality or behaviour pattern she describes in a particular sign. The section on what each sign needs to learn is informative and leads to contemplation. Generally enlightening and entertaining.
